Monaco 2025 Yacht Show

Once again, the superyacht world has been captured by the Monaco Yacht Show. 2025 was no different, the sheer opulence and size as well as the glimpse into our very promising yachting future. The yachts were not just bigger or flashier, they were also smarter, cleaner and much more intentional. The designers and builders are truly proving that indulgence and responsibility can coexist, and the results? Breathtaking.

One of the showstopping yachts was the Valor, which is a 79-meter Feadship hybrid yacht. With solar-assisted propulsion, battery powered systems and an onboard pool heated through recycled energy, it is truly a remarkable example of sustainable yachting. The attention to detail in the yacht interior, which makes use of natural woods, stone finishes and open layouts makes her feel well planned and luxurious. We can’t wait to see this stunning yacht gliding through the Med with passengers enjoying the views from deck, all whilst minimising their environmental impact.

Another striking vessel this year was the Admiral 78M, which features a lithium-polymer battery system, allowing for a zero-emission anchorage. For crew on board, such as deckhands, engineers and captains, these are not just technical achievements, these changes elevate the operation and maintenance of these luxury yachts. This lady is quieter, more serene and offers guests the peace of the sea and peace of mind about the ecosystem.

After You, Giorgio Armani’s brainchild and first fully designed superyacht seamlessly blends sharp geometry with the soft calming curves that we have come to love on newer yachts, but beyond just her aesthetic appeal, her ice-class capabilities are a signal for adventure. Another one of the yachts this year to also significantly reduce ecological footprints and make use of sustainable materials and smart energy solutions.

Together, these yachts reflect an important shift in the industry: luxury is no longer only about extravagance—it’s about responsibility, innovation, and thoughtful yacht design.

These yachts are showing an important shift in the industry. Luxury is not only about extravagance anymore, but about responsibility, innovation and thoughtfulness in the yacht design process.

Several previous trends continued to stand out at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, including indoor-outdoor living styles, which continue to dominate the industry. Retractable terraces, panoramic glazing and open layouts continue to be all the rage as they let natural lighting flood the yacht interior and really bring the sea living to life. It is also interesting to take note that multi-purpose spaces are becoming the new normal, including beach clubs that transform into spacious lounges, decks that double as dining or entertainment spaces and innovative storage solutions which aim to optimise the space for both the crew and the guests. Yacht interiors are now focused more on sustainability and wellness, including low impact finishes, non-toxic paints, as well as spa and wellness areas which prioritise energy efficiency and relaxation.

The technological innovation seen this year has been another driving force. We now see hybrid and electric propulsion systems, solar power and alternative engines as almost commonplace items. Even the smallest of the superyachts now make use of water treatment systems and environment friendly waste management. The stew and deck crew are also adapting to these new standards by learning how to balance luxury service with sustainable yachting practices onboard, a change that is reshaping the industry as a whole.

Monaco 2025 has made clear that sustainable yachting is not just a trend, it is fast becoming the new standard for luxury yachting, and it is influencing everything from the design of the yacht to the operational practices. We have been shown the future this year, the superyacht industry is proving that indulgence does not have to be at the planet’s expense. The horizon of superyachting has truly never been more exciting, or sustainable.
